VertiGIS were in fine form at the recent Esri Infrastructure Management & GIS Conference (IMGIS)! Our VertiGIS Studio staff that attended had a great time sharing the exciting benefits that VertiGIS solutions offer within the Utilities, Telecommunications, Architecture, Engineering and Construction industries. “There is nothing like being able to talk with your hands and express excitement about a potential solution or frustration with a long-running business pain point. In person conferences, particularly at the calibre of an Esri organized event, are here to stay.”, says VertiGIS Solutions Engineer, Gareth Evans about his time at the event.
Like past Esri events, VertiGIS Studio staff were excited to network with new and existing customers at our company’s booth. Opportunities to interact in-person provided valuable chances to learn about how our customers are using VertiGIS Studio technology and any challenges that they may be facing. Meeting face-to-face with our partners also produced tangible conversation, and discussions with the Esri team gave insight into future developments of the Esri Utility Network platform. While we had some great business-related discussions at IMGIS, the conversations weren’t all work related. Our team was excited to get a visit from Esri Founder and President, Jack Dangermond, where the conversation led to a riveting autumnal topic – why tomato soup is better than squash soup!
As a great end to the event, Gareth Evans and Vince Wruck, VertiGIS Partner Manager, put on a presentation entitled “Expediting Project Tasks with a Linear Visualization Solution: VertiGIS Inline”. The talk highlighted VertiGIS’ engineering project management use cases – with a key focus on how VertiGIS Inline, VertiGIS Studio Workflow, and VertiGIS Studio Mobile can be used together to create an unparalleled project management tool that expedites large scale projects through to completion.
As always, we would like to thank Esri for putting on a fantastic event! As the 2022 event season comes to an end, we would also like to thank our customers and partners for making this event year a success. With exciting new GIS developments on the rise – both at VertiGIS and within the broader industry – we can’t wait to see what’s in store for next year.
